  • Beginning Acrobatics

    Students will learn beginning tumbling skills on floor mats. Skills include balance, agility and development of coordination with forward and backward movements, flexibility and strength exercises. Ages: 7-10 Class begins: March 20th Times: Wednesdays 8:00pm to 8:30pm Children's Dance Classes are held at Cathy's Creative Dance School 2866 South M-291 Hwy Suite "A" Independence, MO 64057 Dress Code: Leotards and tights, jazz or ballet shoes are recommended. Students can war shorts over leotards, and tennis shoes.

    Cathy’s Creative Dance School Independence Education Classes Classes will be held at: Cathy’s Creative Dance School 2866 South M-291 Highway, Suite “A” Independence, MO 64057 (816)-478-4404 cathyscreativedanceschool.com Cathy Zeysing is the owner and artistic director of Cathy's Creative Dance School. She has served the Independence Community as a dance teacher for more than 40 years. She holds several degrees in Dance and Education, and holds many certifications. She has danced professionally, and is currently the team choreographer and coach for Cathy's Creative Dance company dance teams and MATS acrobatic tumbling teams. Cathy is happy to offer community education classes for Independence at a discounted rate. Dress Code: Leotards & tights, jazz or ballet shoes are recommended. Students can wear shorts over leotards and tennis shoes. Class Dates: March 18 to May 1st (6 week sessions) Cathy's Creative Dance School is closed March 25th to the 31st for Easter week.

    This class will cover the basics of managing your computer hardware, software, e-mail, internet usage, computer purchasing, security, privacy and much more.   • Enchiladas and Burritos

    Idida (Dida) Avila is the proud owner of A Dash of Dida, a catering and food development company. Cooking demos are shown at all cooking classes, and students will receive a snack size portion of prepared dishes. Impress your friends and family by mixing sauces that make delicious enchiladas and burrito dishes. Date: April 23rd / 6:00 to 7:00pm / Truman High School room 217 / Please bring an instructor's fee of $25.00 (cash)
  • Homeownership Seminar

    Homeownership Seminars explain the home buying process from search to close. This seminar will review key points of the entire process. Mortgage Loan officers will instruct participants how to choose a home, obtain a pre-approval letter, submit an offer, and close on a house. The homeownership professionals leading the seminar will open questions to the audience after each section of the presentation. Date: April 18th or April 23rd (only attend one class) Time: 6:00-7:00pm Location: Truman HS, 3301 S. Noland Rd. Room 218 Registration Fee: $5 for either April 18th or 23rd
