  • Paying for Long Term Care

The cost of long term care in nursing homes, assisted living and home care continue to rise each year. Inflation and a shortage of care workers drives the cost up. This seminar reviews the options you have for paying for that care. Paying out of pocket, long term care insurance, Veteran's Benefits and Medicaid. It will also touch briefly o how Estate Planning and Trusts might make a difference in how you strategize for this type of care. Instructor bio: Dr. Stana Martin taught at many universities before her family west through very grueling care of seniors with Alzheimer's. She shifted to selling long term care insurance products as a result of that. She has been the top sales person in Missouri of this product for many years. Yet she is the first to say "insurance like this is not for everyone". Her delivery is informal and speckled with jokes. After all, if we have to grow old, we may as well laugh about it!
